DTN COMMENTS:  Another round of light trading is starting up in the South 
this morning at $137, fully steady with yesterday's business. So far, the 
North remains rather quiet with just a few scattered bids noted. Asking 
prices for cattle left on showlists are around $138 in the South, and $220 
in the North. Beef cutouts are expected to be higher with light to moderate 
box movement.

A light dressed trade was reported in the North yesterday at mostly $218, 
fully steady with last week's weighted averages, the majority of these deals 
are set for delivery the week of January 31st and February 7th. A more 
scattered trade was reported in the South at mostly $137, $1 to $1.50 lower 
than last week's weighted averages.
